Scott Ambler: Our friend and colleague

On Saturday 17 March we lost a great friend and colleague who illuminated everybody and everything that he touched. Scott was a gifted artist who spent his life performing and creating original work, bending form, pushing boundaries, surprising and moving audiences all over the world. At Hampstead, who can ever forget his brilliant work on Chariots Of Fire? Or his artistry on Wonderland? And his ability to adapt and bend his talents to suit different styles was breathtakingly apparent in The Arrest Of Ai Weiwei. These were just some of the contributions he made to this Theatre but his reach of course, stretched far further. He was one of the world's good people, and a ferocious talent to boot who will be missed by all of us. Our condolences and love go out to his family and loved ones at this very difficult time.
