The Tony Award-winning musical Kimberly Akimbo took to the stage at West End Live on Saturday 20 June giving theatre fans a first taste of the show ahead of its highly anticipated European premiere.

Set to begin previews at Hampstead Theatre on 28 August, the production joined the annual free musical theatre spectacular in Trafalgar Square which welcomed more than 70,000 visitors across the weekend.

The Kimberly Akimbo company performed two numbers from the acclaimed Broadway hit which features a score by Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by David Linsday-Abaire.

Alice Fearn’s performance of Better and Gilli Jones’ performance of Good Kid proved to be one of the highlights of the weekend building excitement for director Michael Longhurst’s new production.
